Supported Lodgings - Definitions

Room only lodgings

This type of accommodation is suited to mature young people who do not need a high level of support but do need a place to stay. You will be funded by the Council and the young person will stay in your accommodation.

Supported lodgings

This type of accommodation requires the carer to give more support where the young person cannot live with their own family. You will be able to provide support to help build confidence and develop skills which will lead to independence. You will be funded and supported by the Council and given training.
