Fostering and Adoption
There are many children and young people in Bracknell Forest who benefit from being able to live in a caring family environment, other than their own, either on a short or long term basis.
What We Do
The Family Placement Team are responsible for:
- Adoption including:
- Counselling of birth parents whose children are being placed for adoption
- Counselling of adults who were adopted as children
- Adoption from abroad (inter-country adoption)
- Post adoption services
- Step-parent adoption
- Foster care
- Short break care
- Community childminding
- Private fostering
- Special guardianship

The Fostering, Short Break Care and Adoption Open Evenings will take place from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm at the Bracknell Family Centre, Warfield Road, Bracknell RG12 2JA.
