Inspection of Marriage Registers
Inspection of the current Marriage Registers (one for marriages that took place at Bracknell Register Office and one for marriages that took place at outside venues in the Bracknell Borough) is available, free of charge, by appointment. Please telephone 01344 352052 for an appointment to ensure that the office is open and that the registers are available. A copy of the marriage entry is available on request for a fee of £3.50.
If the entry required is not included in the current registers (a register holds 250 entries and is current for around 18 months to two years), then it is possible to search the indexes of previous registers. A fee is payable for this service of £18. Again, an appointment should be made to avoid inconvenience.
If an entry is identified through a register index search, a copy certificate can be ordered at a cost of £7.
