The Spot - Sandhust Youth Centre
The Spot is situated on the same site as Sandhurst School and the sports centre. The building is at the front of the sports centre.
We offer a variety of clubs and courses to young people from 13 – 19 years of age. We also have some clubs attended by 11 -12 year olds. We cover activities around issues affecting young people and have provided a number of courses in cricket, hair and beauty and babysitting to name but a few. Any suggestions for courses are always considered.
The Spot has excellent facilities and resources for the young people to use such as:
- Computers and PS2s
- Pool tables
- Table tennis
- Arts and crafts materials
- Some music equipment
We also host the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. Please contact the centre for details.
The centre hosts a health clinic on a Wednesday for young people, no appointment required. 3pm – 4.30pm
Youth Clubs:
Monday - 7pm – 9pm - years 10/11
Tuesday - 3pm – 5pm - years 8/9
Tuesday - 7pm – 9pm - courses night age dependent on activity
Thursday - 3pm – 5 pm - year 10+
Thursday 7 – 9 pm year 9
There is a charge of £1.00 per session for the youth club
The building consists of a main hall, lounge, and kitchen, and is available for hire at reasonable rates. All areas are accessible for disabled people,
