National Healthy Schools Standard
The National Healthy Schools Standard has replaced the Berkshire Awards at Bronze, Silver and Gold level. All Bracknell Forest schools have already attained at least Bronze, and over 60% of schools have achieved the Berkshire Gold Award. These awards remain valid until July 2007.
Participation in the programme and achieving the National Standard helps schools contribute to the five Every Child Matters outcomes:
- Being healthy
- Staying safe
- Enjoying and achieving
- Making a positive contribution
- Economic well being
We work closely with other Berkshire Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts to provide the programme and to validate school achievement at National Standards.
