Nurseries, Pre-Schools and Playgroups

The Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership has been working together since it was first formed in November 1997; its role being to provide and monitor services for families with children aged 0-14 (16 with special needs).

Partnership members include representatives from:

  • LA schools the private, voluntary and independent sectors
  • Childminders
  • Out of Schools and Holiday clubs
  • Social Services, the Primary Care Trust (PCT) training providers
  • Education, Children's Services & Libraries department
  • Specialist Provision
  • Parents
  • Elected Members
  • Business Community
  • Diocese

Bracknell Forest Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership remains committed to establishing and developing positive working links between different providers across the sectors within the Borough, with the aim of developing seamless services for its users. The National Childcare Strategy provides the opportunity to build on the trust that exists between providers in all sectors, where each recognises and places value on the contributions that they and others are able to make for the benefit of children and families; the volume of positive links being fostered continues to develop and grow.
