Bracknell's Treescape
Bracknell Forest was once part of the ‘Great Park’, Crown Estate which was once a vast expanse of hunting land with small settlements. As a Royal Forest it was protected from development for many hundreds of years. Indeed Bracknell is mentioned in the Doomsday book for the quality of its many fine Oaks. Bracknell today is a thriving town within a forest and quite rightly proud of its sylvan heritage.
